IF NO AGREEMENT IS REACHED BY DECEMBER 12, 2012 (12/12/12), I vow to:

1. NOT buy any NHL tickets for the entire 2012-2013 season (if it were to resume)

2. NOT buy any NHL jerseys or team/league related merchandise for the entire 2012-2013 season (if it were to resume)

3. NOT take part in or follow any and all teams/players from Social Media (I will un-follow/un-like if already following/liking)

4. As a season ticket holder I will NOT buy any drinks/food/merchandise at the games when play resumes. (Some may vow to cancel their seasons tickets; however, this is an alternative for those in markets where it may not be feasible to give them up).

5. I WILL boycott any and all live broadcasts of NHL Games and events for the entire 2012-2013 season (if it were to resume).


IF THE 2012-2013 SEASON IS CANCELLED, I vow to:

1. Carry out the above terms until 4 months after the first game is played.

Every day the NHL and NHLPA concede the fact that the fans are the ones that suffer the most and it is the fans that make the business of hockey possible.


It doesn't matter if you agree with the owners or the players; the fact is, both have had a hand in holding our game hostage 3 times in 18 years. Since the fans can not have a spot at the bargaining table... we can only have a voice by standing together and commit to putting an end to the posturing of both sides by giving the NHL and NHLPA our own deadlines.


If no settlement has been reached by 12/12/12 all those who have signed the petition will pledge to abide by the above rules. In doing so, the NHL will be the first professional sports league to have its fans effectively GO ON STRIKE!!!


Please understand that there is no ulterior motive here for our efforts.
